I am so happy to hear this story. I am looking into buying a Nintendo Wii when they become more readily available to the mass market. Also I think I’ll hold off till the new reinforced wrist straps are with the new Wiimotes. The game I really want at this moment is the Legend of Zelda. But that may be a month or two from now. I may get a chance to play with a Wii when I visit my friends Derek and Michelle. He tells me it is a very fun system to play.

Today my company gave out the annual Turkeys, Kosher Turkeys, Hams, and Vegetable Lasagnas. This is my 5th year working here and each year I am amazed by the sheer number of holiday meats available. It is very nice of the company to do this for us. The hams are always very tasty and my family loves them. I’m not sure which house the ham is going to this year, maybe even ours. But who knows. A woman that works here got in a car accident last year that sent her holiday ham flying out into the highway. She was more distraught about losing the ‘holiday meat’ (that’s what she called it) that she kept asking the police officers to make sure that her ‘holiday meat. was okay. One year a former employee went downstairs and got his turkey and put it into his desk drawer. He then forgot to take it home and was gone for two weeks. Author Jonathan Hoenig wrote this book at age 23. It is a straightforward account of how to increase your wealth and uses examples from pop culture to illustrate his points. I picked this book up back in 1999 and loved it. I started adapting many of Hoenig’s principles and they have really been helpful throughout the years. Hoenig has a website called Capitalist Pig.com. The site also has an e-mail newsletter and Hoenig is now a Managing Member of a private investment partnership. I first saw him on some show on MTV, and since that time he has gone on to bigger and better things. This book, if you buy and read it has the no-nonsense approach to financial security and becoming an investor.

Since the Drew Carey show has been over and Who’s Line is in reruns, what is Drew up to these days. He had his Green Screen show but that flopped. I’d like to see him get back on TV in a show at some point. I know he’s made some appearances on the Blue Collar TV, I had a video of the Big Deck Sketch about a month or so ago on The BenSpark. I liked his standup act very much and wish he was doing more of that too. I was also a fan of his book Dirty Jokes and Beer. That was pretty funny. I should read that again. I just saw it in the massive pile of books on our bookcase of unread books. I’ll get to them someday.

I just found the latest Die Hard movie Trailer. It is starring Bruce Willis, of course. But it also stars Justin Long from the Mac and PC commercials and Accepted. The story is a about computer hackers and well I think our PC guy from the commercials is going to be a better fit than the MAC person. But then again I am just very biased about PCs. You didn’t see any of the kids in the movie Hackers with MACs. Nope they had tricked out PCs.  When I first watched the trailer I thought it could be Transformers or something because there was a CGI Big Rig that looked like a Kenworth and that is what Prime is going to be. The movie is saying it is coming out July 4th in one place but June 29th in another. I hope it doesn’t go after July 4th and cause any problems for the Transformers Movie. 

About the best thing that has come from Hasbro in a long time is the Transformers Classics line of Transformers. This line has just what the adult collector is looking for as well as great playability for the younger generation. The Optimus Prime and Megatron Characters are fantastic. They retain the true fun of the original characters while enhancing the quality with the latest technology. These toys are just so fun to play with.  I decided that I would open my Transformers Classics line of toys because they were just so cool, I could not keep them in the packages. Right now I have Optimus, Megatron, Bumblebee, Starscream, Hot Rod and Grimlock. Grimlock just arrived the other day. I got Bumblebee, Hot Rod and Grimlock from the Hasbro Toy shop. Well worth getting them there because the discounts were great. I plan to get the rest of the line as more become available.
